บ้านดำ หรือ พิพิธภัณฑ์บ้านดำ สร้างขึ้นโดย อ.ถวัลย์ ดัชนี ศิลปินแห่งชาติที่มีฝีมือทางด้านจิตรกรรม ปฏิมากรรม ได้สร้างงานด้านศิลปะไว้มากมาย ทั้งทางด้านภาพเขียนและด้านปฏิมากรรมหลายชิ้น

Baan Dam is the work of Thai artist Thawan Duchanee, The Black House is a complex of 40 buildings, most made of dark teak wood. In Thai known as Baan Dam, meaning Black House, the buildings house a collection of paintings, sculptures, animal bones and skins.
